Hose reel & cart w/wheels - sturdy, strong & well-American made!
Only assembly required was a few bolts which were provided very easy! Functionality is wonderful, the price is high. We waited until it went on sale, but it is definitely well-made & built to last. Well worth the price! I use a 3/4 inch hose 100 foot long - Rolls up w/ease, like a dream, no kinks & you need to make sure the hose stays unkinked when you 1st start rolling but we have not had any issues w/hose kinking, like some of the other comments made? This cart is very sturdy, w/strong wheels that move over rocks, dirt, sand, etc. We have the irrigation well hookedup & can roll it around anywhere on my acre property! The potted plants love it π have not had one rust sign yet, size is as expected - fits perfectly- you can also purchase the hose reel by itself - no cart if you want to hang it on a wall or place it into a concrete structure on the ground & all the parts are well made, Comes pre-oiled, with everything you need -made in America πΊπΈ thatβs the only reason it is expensive, but its well worth it as we have been through 3 separate plastic hose hanging reels.Nice strong metal - heavy. Great quality!

Good quality, missing parts
Beefy stainless steel frame, missing screws for assembly, directions were really not very good.

Hose reel for people who want one to last
This reel is expensive but worth it in long run I think. Very well built with brass fittings. The hose guide is smooth and releases to pull hose out freely. The basket is the only thing that could possibly rust after paint is knicked so I sprayed a coat of rubberized paint on it for extra protection. This should last for many years.

Minor Issues, NOT Show stoppers
There's a mechanism that the hose has to be threaded through in order to wrap the hose around the spool/cylinder. The hole is not designed for certain hoses that have the flexible connecter such as a flexzilla, hole is too small. Also, there is a little flipper at the top of the mechanism that allows the mechanism to flow freely to assist the hose wrapping around the spool/cylinder. The flipper is not good quality be careful. The hose reel is stainless steel with brass connectors it's made well. The correct hose wraps around the spool/cylinder really well.

Do Not Purchase!
This product leaked at both the connector hose and the connection inside the drum, when assembled and for that reason, is not usable. Amazon directs the customer to the manufacturer for customer service and the manufacturer, Giraffe Tools, declined to honor their warranty because I purchased it from Amazon. The Giraffe Tools warranty clearly states the warranty covers purchases from approved resellers, which obviously Amazon is. Terrible customer service from Giraffe Tools! I would not recommend ever purchasing a Giraffe Tool product, since the company does not stand behind its warranty.

Quality is lousy. Don't buy.
I've used it for a year now and it looks nice, but quality is poor. The belt which connects the hand crank to the hose guide often slips of the gear and needs to be re-threaded. The flip switch which allows you to adjust the location of the hose guide broke almost immediately. And there is a weird fitting where you connect your hose to the reel which leaks unless you have a special washer (or stuff multiple normal washers in there).
