Temporary stops feather plucking caused by skin irritation
I have a well-socialized and active 11-year old Muluccan Cockatoo that strangely overgroomed and plucked her feather under her right wing (I rescued her that way). We tried everything short of an anti-plucking collar. After spaying her down, paying special attention to her down feathers under her wing, she greatly reduced her plucking tendencies! We noticed that while her feathers were wet she completely ignored the area. After a few days, we observed a noticeable decrease in feather plucking. Interestingly, we did not get the same results with semi-weekly baths in the shower. It's only been a week now, but for the first time in a year, she has not plucked out all her new feather growth. I'm crossing my fingers that she'll have feathers back within a couple of months. I'll update this post in a week to let everyone know how it's working out.Update: June 6thIt's been working out pretty well. Just so long as the her plucking area is sprayed, she won't preen the area. This translates to approximately 2 hours of not over preening or plucking. I've spayed the area 2 - 3 times a day with 1 or 2 pumps. Some of her feathers have grown back. It's too early to tell if this will break her habit. I've definitely noticed a reduction in her tendency to over preen. I'll post another update in a few weeks.Update: August 22ndI'm happy to say that the results are very positive. The spray seems to penetrate my birds powdery feather covering versus water. The benefit to this is that she will not prean the area for hours as area is still damp. I use the spray two to three times under her wings a day for the past couple weeks. She has grown back almost all her feathers! Not only that, like human beings, reducing the behavior or a couple weeks, it seems that she has broken the habit of preaning the area. I'm very happy with the results. See the photos.

This item is too heavy to be placed with other orders . I wanted the smaller size considering shipping, it wasn’t available. The bottle is awkward to use due to its weight & size . You certainly can not use it on a bird while handling it & at any angle your bird might be in since you can’t hold a tiny bird & control a heavy bottle properly. Pour it in another bottle . Shipping - it smashed other orders that Amazon combined in the box . The box arrived after 3 days - late for prime & tracking it made no sense of why it was sent to 2 local Amazon locations delaying the box . Updates were not much use. Ship this item by itself Amazon - Spray seems to work - delivery & packaging is the star not given .

This really works
I have a Cock-a-too who is over 30 years old and a year or so ago he started "barbering" his feathers. His health was fine according to the vet who felt that it was a nervous behavior, cause unknown, and recommended applying liquid Prozac to the top of his his head. After several months this did not stop or even decrease the "barbering'" and since the Cock-a-too is healthy I just stopped the Prozac accepted that this was incurable. In looking for a bird toy on Amazon by chance I saw this product and read many positive reviews, so I decided to try it. It has dramatically reduced the "barbering" which is now barely noticeable, and his feathers are soft to the touch and give off much less of the powdery dust that is a feature of Cock-a-too feathers. I would recommend that anyone whose pet bird has a similar nervous "barbering" issue give Miracle Care Feather Feather Glo Bird Bath Spray a try.

Definitely not 32 oz.
The media could not be loaded. Great product but it's definitely not 32 oz. I poured the entire bottle into my 20 pz bird mister and it did not fill it up. The package was not leaking and it was sealed. Would like to have 32 oz since it's what I paid for.....
