Converted Skeptic
I got these to try instead of using large ziplock bags to organize my smaller items. I had tried the compression plastic bags years ago and they were all broken before my trip was done. They were useless.I bought two sets of the cubes, one with compression and one without. The compression is minimal on these as it mostly compresses toward the edges and the center remains close to the same. I also put a lot of clothes in it so maybe I was over packing it.Either way I am a total convert to packing cubes. What a difference they make for organizing and getting more items into my suitcase! I probably won't bother with the compression again in future purchases. One note: I have a 22" carryon and the large cube takes up most of the space. I didn't find it helpful for a bag this size. Medium and small were great and I might get a few slim ones for variety. The large ones are in use now to store my winter sweaters. Now considering them for seasonal clothes storage. Fantastic!

I love these
This is the second set of compression bags I've bought from Baggallini. I bought the first set last year and bought another set recently. I love them because when you have both zippers open, the bag has enough reinforcement and the sides are high enough so it stays open like a box instead of being floppy and the sides cave in. It makes them so easy to pack. Even though the centers don't compress so well, as others mentioned, the compression zipper on the sides gets the compression going and they still pack flatter than when not compressed. I bought other (cheaper) packing cubes in between the two sets of Baggallinis and don't like them as much as these. I never used packing cubes previous to about a year ago and would never go back to packing without them. The Baggallinis are my favourites and I highly recommend them.

Good, but...
I really wanted to "love" these, I really did. I have a several Baggallini handbags and they are wonderful. These, however didn't live up the reputation.First of all, I love the pattern. That was why I chose them in the first place. Just because something is functional, doesn't mean it can't look good. Also, compression! They have this zipper that runs around the entire cube, kind of like on an expandable suitcase, that when you zip it shut, it takes up less space. In theory (more on that later). However, when they arrived I was a little disappointed. The material felt flimsy, almost like a thin, slick plastic. Not the high quality nylon that Baggallini handbags are made of. Not one to make snap judgments, I decided to give them a try. I accordion folded my clothes like I do when I travel, and stuffed the cubes full. When I went to zip it up, looking for the extra spaces I could fit an item or two, I had to unzip the entire cube in order to do so. This led to clothes spilling out of the cube and needing to be repacked. Not a big deal, but a hassle none the less and one not needed when preparing to leave. Finally, I got the cube as packed as I could (there was still room inside, but I couldn't maneuver the contents without it all spilling out) and it was time to test out the compression feature. This is what I was most excited about - what could be better than having the contents of your suitcase squished down to make room for more? While it worked in theory, the material did not lend itself to compression. Instead of compressing the entire cube, the material stretched and only the sides compressed turning it from a cube to an oblong. This does not allow for easy packing, for nothing lay flat in a suitcase. Travelling only by carry-on, this defeated the purpose of the packing cube, since it did not save space, but left large holes in the packing that were too small to be filled by another cube or toiletry kit or shoes. They are a good start, but could use some improvement. I think had the cubes been made of the normal, non-slick, non-stretchy nylon like the Baggallini handbags, they would have worked better at compression. Also, a double zipper closure makes for easier stuffing and packing. A grab handle or strap would also help improve the packability of the product.Overall, it is a good start and I will still continue to use them if I need to, but with other products out there that meet my needs as a carry-on travelers (see my review of the eBags packing cubes), these will most likely be relegated to off season clothing storage in my closet.Happy travels.

Nice pattern, Small
These were so much smaller than I was expecting, and did not really seem to compress that well. I was hoping they would be leakproof as well, so I could put shampoo/conditioner inside without worrying about it spilling on everything in the suitcase, but they were not. The pattern is great and extra bags are always useful when packing but they were not as useful as I expected.

No way to keep air out with the compression system on these.
Great idea- compressing the air out of the cubes. However, with the open mesh top, it is ineffective, They are ok as travel cubes, but only zip from 1 spot- not the double zippers as are found on eBags and some other brands. Will not buy these as long as eBags makes such good bags at such reasonable prices.

Handy bags.
First time I used these I fell in love with them. Perfect for laptop, second monitor and cords. Nice to pull out one bag (full of cords) instead of a handful of cords. Kept my new laptop bag (Lug Puddle Jumper) very organized.

Great Travel Packing Cubes – Much nicer than "Air Bag" plastic vacuum sealed ones...
I used to use the plastic zip-seal "Air Bags", but I love these Baggallini ones so much more! They compress just as nicely as the plastic ones, are softer and more pliable in the suitcase, and much easier to open and find garments inside. The three sizes are perfect for underwear, tops and sleepwear, and pants/skirts/sweaters respectively. Very satisfied with them!

Great - except that the zippers get stuck
Great - except that the zippers get stuck. However, the benefit of compressing so much stuff into such a tiny cube makes it worth the inconvenience.
