These camping/emergency are wonderful. They are also simple. You only have to unscrew the base, Insert the batteries, screw the base back on and turn it on. It is a very bright light and would do wonderfully in the place of candles in power outage emergencies. They light up a dark room so well. my husband also plans to use it while sitting outside on the lanai at night instead of having on the main overhead light. They are really nice and even come with the 12 aaa batteries you need since each lantern uses 3. They are so economical and two boxes of four will cover my entire 3 bedroom house in emergencies.

These are pretty cool little lights. They can be put in a standing position or you can hang them from something with the included clips. They're pretty bright for their size. They have two brightness settings, low and high. Once the lights are turned on you can switch the brightness setting by tapping the lights on a hard surface. You do have to tap it pretty firmly. At first I thought this was a defect but then I found the "feature" in the instructions. They are powered by three AAA batteries each. The batteries that come in the package are very light weight and I don't expect them to last long. Overall I think these will be very useful for camping and in other scenarios.

Turn the bottom to open, slide out the battery pack, insert batteries, slide battery pack back in, twist bottom back on. Voila! It's as simple as that.These give off a very bright light. Perfect for camping, night exploring, manhunt, even emergency power outages. I'm keeping these in my camper for emergencies. Very pleased.
