These are my criteria for a bike lock:Easy to fit: the flexible chain is a decent length and easy to use both when storing on the bike and when locking.Easy to lock and unlock: I once lost a very expensive krypton lock because I didn't realise the catch hadn't engaged and it fell off while I was cycling. The lock on this one is well designed and smooth.Strong - 5mm links are nowhere near as resistant to cutters as really heavy duty locks but it will deter all but the most professional thieves.Weight: 770g is heavy enough that serious cyclists who care about minimising their load, but overall a good balance between strength and weight.

Can t love a chian and paddlock and have not used it yet so the combination lock could get stuck and rust for example. but it is a great length and looks strong and sturdy.
