The Octonauts Explore the Great Big Ocean

My kids (ages 4 and 7) have been big fans of the Octonauts books and show for a couple of years. I bought this book as a Chanukah gift for my 4 year old, who in particular loves the "Vegimal" characters. This book tells the story of the origins of the Vegimals -- how they were discovered and grew, and takes the readers on an adventure throughout different sea habitats searching for the vegimals own habitat. The pictures are bright, modern, colorful, detail and completely engaging to both children and adult readers. There are several diagrams in the book that my son loves to examine in great detail -- names of each Vegimal, parts of the Octopod, things to pack on a trip, and different flavors of kelp cake. There's something slightly reminiscent of a Richard Scarry illustration and yet a bit more modern and hip. This book is also a great introduction to different sea habitats. I highly recommend this for ages 3-8.

We have all of the big Octonauts books, but this is by far my fave. It’s got more substance to it. It’s a bit longer and the images are wonderful as always. So glad my kids love The Octonauts. This books is a must have for true fans

My son loves the cartoon so I got him the book and the same theme dishes. He loves the book. It’s evidently for 6 years old kids and my child is only 4, but loves the figures. The color is intense and it has a page that illuminates in the dark so even though he can’t read and the book is fairly written, he loves it

He's an Octonaut lover, and this book gives us a fun way to do bedtimes that doesn't involve screens.

The book is a nice piece well designed and illustrated, the story could be better than the chapter of the TV series, but nice to have kids engage with the series. It offers some excellent data about the Octonauts.

My 3.5 yo loved this Octonauts book, which came at a good value. Bright colours and many things to look at, including one glow in the dark page. My child loves this book!

All the Octonauts books are really good but this one is our favourite.The illustrations are beautiful and really in so much detail, my daughter loves the glow in the dark page especially. The story is brilliant finding out where the vegimals came from, another favourite bit of my daughters is the kelp cake flavours she loves choosing who would have what. If your child likes octonauts this is a must have you will not be disappointed.
