It’s not very thick …. So I supported above the speakers with a 1/4” plastic sheet to add stability. Seems to work fine. First order 6.5” Boss marine grade speakers but the overall dimensions were too big and overlapped the pod and wouldn’t have any mounting area to to hold speakers so I sent back that pair and order Kenwoods and they fit perfect except that you have a different screw pattern and will have to drill for new mounting holes to correct position to install. Not bad for the price.

Used these in my boat and they mounted perfectly. Look nice too.

This was not as easy as you would think to install. Yes I have a hard plastic roof. The issue is, if you don't want to drill holes up thru the top, you will have to fashion a mount. Your not just gonna bolt it to the roof as shown. All in all 3 stars, as it is not like this was made for any specific brand make or model of UTV. Also I first thought I would use maybe strong sticky tape. Nope, it has a lip around the edge, so that won't work either. Only way I figured to mount this was by hot gluing plastic or wood etc. blocks to the roof where you want to mount this.

I have some 6.5" speakers (boss marine) that I am installed into this, backed with plywood, to install on my UTV. Due to other life stuff, I haven't been able to actually install them and connect to stereo, but they have not been broken in my shop while being tossed around in boxes and on top of tables for the past month. I expected that I would break it early since it felt like thin plastic, but it seems to hold up well!

This is intended to be used on an ATV or a golf cart but there are plenty other uses for it. It is a nice and thick molded plastic product with moderate pliability that will bend a little without breaking, it's not brittle at all. The pre-drilled holes line up well with the holes on my 6.5" coaxial speakers quite well. There is enough of a baffle with airspace to get you at least some mid bass range frequencies that might be lost in an open air or smaller mounting. I'd love to get one of these that would mount 4 speakers, but this is great for what I am wanting to do. I really like the matte finish and the protection from the environment they provide.

We have a 74 Beetle Bug and needed a speaker enclosure when installing a set of rear speakers behind the rear seat in the storage area in front of the firewall. This unit accommodates our all weather marine type surface mount speakers perfectly, The housing allows our speaker set to be removed from the car easily for cleaning, or listening to music outside the car with our extended speaker cables. The housing is rugged and holds up well in many conditions, we opted for the one piece non-wood construction because we didn't want to have to worry about heat and moisture ruining the housing. It is easily secured using the strap loops. So I can imagine it would work well in a UTV or boat roof application.

This speaker enclosure is made from single formed plastic so it looks clean. Its a nice gauge of plastic without being heavy nor flimsy. It can mount universally for a wide variety of vehicles, or you can even mount it to a DIY box with a radio and battery in it for a portable boom box. Unfortunately it did not fit my particular side by side due to my roof being too rounded, and couldn't mount it on the floor or under dash because of how my interior is designed. I'm still giving it 5 stars because if you have a place to mount it you'll find it is pretty slick.
