No complaints about this product - though small (as described) they get the job done. Although I just got these a couple days ago, I've used them both hot and cold, though not on pain or swelling as suggested. We've been having some crazy weather and my body is struggling to acclimate so I've been roasting hot and freezing cold and I've used these to cool off and warm up. As the packaging indicates, they are only effective for about 20 minutes before they return to room/body temp. The other night I heated one for about 15 seconds in the microwave and put it at my feet before going to sleep and it worked great. I have a serious problem with painfully cold feet, to the point of not even being able to sleep, but this warmed my feet quickly. On the flip side, I use these frozen on my core (stomach/back) area to cool off when the temperature gets really warm and it does the job. I also took a couple to school; I have a student who constantly complains about some "pain" (foot, knee, back, hand, neck, etc) and visits the nurse multiple times daily for ice packs. I've labeled this special for him so he can reuse them from day to day and not be so wasteful.My only concern is how to clean/disinfect these (I don't think they can be heated hot enough to kill germs/bacteria). I actually thought these were a thick, clear plastic covering that could easily be wiped for disinfecting, but that light blue color you see isn't gel, it's like a cloth fabric; these are not transparent. My mind is drawing a blank as to a comparison, but I want to say it's kinda like a thin scuba type fabric. I guess I can soak it in a disinfectant and let it dry, but that seems like it will take longer than ideal.Overall, I would definitely recommend.

A week ago I had two hernias repaired. I experienced both postoperative pain and swelling in my groin. A regular ice bag just didn't fit where I needed it. I also had a gel pack that is 10 inches long (folds in thirds) and that was to big. So I looked on Amazon and I found these Gel Ice Packs. I can put them exactly where I need them and I don't have a bulging ice bag (with the screw on lid) shoved in my pants. These Gel Ice packs did not freeze well in our Kitchen freezer so I keep them in my Deep Freeze. My Doctor recommended repeated cold therapy 20 minutes on twenty minutes off. These packs stay cold for about 25 minutes (well they are inside my Jock). Also, I'm not using ice faster than the ice maker can make.

These are great, not just for sore muscles after working out but great for tooth aches, and safe to use on your kids bumps and bruises that NEED AN ICEPACK or they might die ;)Having five is perfect, and allows you to always have one in the freezer and one ready to heat up.It's easy to clean and keep sanitary which is key in this house.

They do not have fabric on one side as clearly stated in the description. They are going back. The box even shows a fabric backed ice pack. Also, one is leaking the blue gel. I wouldn't have even noticed except I was feeling it and a dried chunk of blue goo fell on my leg. I'm extremely disappointed in the inaccurate description and quality.

I bought these for a friend who has a swollen bursa on the bottom of her foot. I thought they would be a great size for that and she wraps an ace bandage around it. I suggested leaving one out to heat up as an alternative. I thought they would also be nice for swollen eyes.

They don’t sweat and they are the perfect size to put in your bra when you are working outside in the heat or running. Also great for women experiencing hot flashes.

A bit stiff and clumsy when cold. I ordered for AM under eye swelling and it will be used for sore muscles etc instead. Disappointing purchase.

They stay nice and cold. Perfect little ice packs to keep in my bottle bags that I use to transport bottles of breast milk. They keep milk cold for hours.

Got these for my elderly mother who lives 200 miles away who was bruised after a fall; so glad this is a 'Prime' item- she got it the next day. She was absolutely chuffed with these packs - she could put them on her face and you can freeze them in rotation. She can use them heated for arthritic hands and knees in Winter. Never seen them in the shops. Fantastic value. Thanks to manufacturer and Amazon

These are great, can be used hot or cold and have a softer covering than some of the cheaper plastic ones I have seen in shops. My only gripe is that they are very big - but my hands are small, and I bought them for my hands in winter to wear under my gloves whilst doing my lollipop shift. But that is just a small inconvenience. I keep a couple in the freezer as well. They heat up in the microwave very quickly and was impressed that thevery heat lasted long enough for my shift - they were still warm after I finished but I didn't check how long they actually stay warm. My shift lasts for just over half an hour

I suffer with rheumatoid arthritis and my joint get very stiff and painful. These are fabulous. I keep them in the fridge so they are to hand all the time. They are not too big so I can place them in a gauze stockinette (the type you get in a roll and cut to length, not sure of the proper name for it and there they stay. Give great relief. Came quickly and packaged securely. Great product, very reasonable price and I would recommend.

These were great for bumps and bruises for the little ones we find that they are a little too cold to put straight into skin so use a cloth with them too

My wife had surgery on her wrist and has had nerve damage making it feel like her hand is on fire, these have been perfect to numb her pain, having 5 means they are fairly easy to rotate in and out the freezer.
