Powerful for a stick vac. Provides useful tools like a crevice tool, motorized pet roller brush which takes off hard to remove pet hair from furniture. It is very easy to use. It is lightweight and maneuvers easily around the room and furniture. Easy to dump the debris receptacle with the push of a button. We have used it on hard wood floors with no problems with scratching or throwing debris around. There is a switch to reduce the roller brush just for hard surfaces. Has no problem on carpeted areas. We have area rugs and carpet in two bedrooms which are short pile. Picks up debris with no problems, but I am not sure how it performs on higher pile carpets. There is no adjustment for different pile heights.

Absolutely love this vacuum! I am actually enjoying vacuuming for the first time in my entire life! It is light weight, easy to maneuver, has amazing suction power (on #2 it sucks up throw rugs), the dirt cup is decent compared with other lightweight models, the dirt cup is actually hands free to empty (unlike another I tried), and the cord is a decent length. Takes a little getting used to that you need to make sure it is leaning against something when you stop vacuuming to empty the dirt cup, if you leave the head on, but it becomes a no brainer quickly. The recess in the bottom of the head makes it very easy to store the whole thing so it won't fall over. Some people may not like having to empty the dirt cup often, however I find it reinforces just how much I needed to run the vacuum more often than I used to with a 16lb one. Oh and I have 2 cats, it has been doing a great job getting everything up as I have tile, area rugs, and carpeting with pile. So glad I finally bought a new vacuum!!!

It's overall a really good and versatile stick vac, & though it is light the build quality is not flimsy. Really great suction & it gets right up to the wall. Does a wonderful job on my bedroom carpeting. It's great on the laminate on most of my floors, even picks up kitty litter that gets tracked. Easy to use, but it does keep me hopping to empty the bin but I guess all sticks have dinky dust bins. I have to be careful not to run over the cord, but I didn't want to have to worry about charging batteries. I do wish it would stand up on it's own, as I don't find removing the handheld power unit very convenient to remove to store. Like my old battered 12 year old duct taped Rotator Pro, it is noisy, but I think that's just Shark.

This vacuum is AMAZING! This vacuum unearthed dirt, dead skin, etc in our carpets that made it look like we had never vacuumed a single time in the 12 years we've lived in our house. (We've vacuumed about once a week and try to shampoo carpets 1x a month since we moved in for reference.)It's so easy to use and lightweight. I'm currently in a medical boot and using a knee scooter and was still able to use it!This thing is powerful. The first time I used it, I stupidly got to close to one of my husband's socks and it just sucked it right up. It did not damage the vacuum.Hair all over the house is no longer a problem! I and my 2 daughters all have long hair that most vacuums just can't seem to handle. A lot of vacuums are designed and work on pet hair but not long human hair. This vacuum delivers!Bare floor mode is a lifesaver! Cleans up loose kitty litter around the litter box easily. I can get right up to my base boards without having to get on my hands and knees.Great maneuverability! I have rheumatoid arthritis and being able to vacuum underneath my couches without getting on the floor or moving heavy furniture is a game changer during a flare up. My husband was able to get it in that small space between the kitchen floor and our bottom cabinets to clean!We haven't used the handheld mode a lot but it works really well when we have used it!My only criticisms:1. When fully put together and upright, you have to lean it against something because it's so top heavy it WILL fall over. However it EASILY disassembles / collapses for storage.2. When going from collapsed storage to putting it together upright and vice versa, the cord storage is a pain. It wraps around hooks like almost all other vacuums but because the cord is attached to the movable top, it can get tangled. We're still getting use to it, so it could be user stupidity in the way we're wrapping the cord.For reference, We (2 adults, 2 older kids) live in a 1100 sq ft house with 3 carpeted rooms, 3 people with long hair, a short hair dog, and medium coat cat.
