Taste Great, without any poisonous side effects!
They taste good! I just ate a big handful on top of a salad. I've done that several times in the past month with no ill effects. My big handful equates to about 3 dozen apricot kernels. No ill side effects for me.There's a lot of warning and cautious with eating too many apricot kernels at one time. According to the internet: "Apricot kernels contain the plant toxin amygdalin, which converts to cyanide after eating. Cyanide poisoning can cause nausea, fever, headaches, insomnia, thirst, lethargy, nervousness, joint and muscle aches and pains, and falling blood pressure. In extreme cases, it is fatal."Amygdalin is a compound found in the pits or seeds of apricots, apples, peaches, plums, red cherries, and other fruits. It's also in bitter almonds.A partly man-made, purified form of amygdalin, known as Laetrile, was patented in the 1950s and became a popular alternative cancer treatment during the 1960s and '70s. It's now banned by the FDA and hasn't been available in the U.S. since 1980.Many websites tout the benefits of amygdalin (also called nitriloside, purasin, and vitamin B17) for cancer. The way your intestines break it down makes cyanide, which supposedly kills harmful cancer cells. Some people have also suggested that it teams up with enzymes in cancer cells to destroy them.Others say the cancer was caused because you didn't have enough "vitamin B17." But there's no proof that amygdalin acts like a vitamin in your body or that you even need it. Calling it a vitamin is a way to get around regulations for drugs.

Not the BITTER ones I wanted.
These ones are the kind you can eat as many as you want to snack on. I wanted the bitter kind for health where can only eat 2-3 kernels a day.

Taste great.....Less filling!
Wait, that's for something else. Was looking for almonds and ran across these. Looked and did a little research on the health benefits (I am by no means a health nut - pun intended). Decided to try these. Great raw almond like flavor and the best price for 2 pounds. What a deal. Very pleased and hope the benefits are true. Will buy again!

Awesome fresh apricot kernels. Will buy again
1. These are real apricot kernels - not almonds . 2. They were received fresh- the expiration date will be in 2025, and they taste fresh.3. Suggestions : - you need to wash a few kernels, and soak them for 12 hours in fresh water, then change water, and soak for extra 12 hours. Why? - to easily peel the outer thin brown external shell of a kernel while it wet. All the "bad/poisoning cyanids" stuff accumulated in this thin brown shell. After that, you can eat a small amount of these peeled kernels. They are really good
