Q: Does the spout lid stay up/open? So when you un-screw the lid and lift it off and tip the bottle back to drink, will the lid fall on you?

The spout opens and closes with significant resistance. Whatever position you put it in, it stays there. I have a few of these. The seal well and stay cold surprisingly long. I fill with ice and water at night and the ice will last into the next evening with the spout closed. My first one lasted about a year before the ice starting melting by morning. For the price I bought a few more.
