I ordered this as a bit of added protection for my old 3DS, while also not covering the design it already had. It looks like it'll do the trick, at least to protect it from getting scratched up.Applying it was very easy. It just popped on. However, when I realized it wouldn't fit my wrist strap, taking it off to remove the strap was much more difficult. It took some time to very carefully remove the case, and I was afraid I might end up damaging both the DS and the case. Luckily, there are reviews that tell you the best way to remove it.Overall, it's a great choice if you plan on not taking it off.

You get what you pay for but I mainly got this for scratches. I don’t think this will protect your 3DS if you drop it hard. I think it would still break because the plastic doesn’t feel very strong but it doesn’t get in the way of any buttons. It’s easy to open with it on, and it will protect most surfaces from getting scratches. if you’re looking for something cheap to protect your 3DS from scratches, I would recommend this.

Just like the title says, it's simple. Though simple is good for keeping the 3DS from getting scratches. It definitely isn't the best build quality wise (there were a couple nicks already on the case upon opening the box) but that's what you get for the value.Honestly worth getting it just to keep the 3DS protected for a longer life. Especially with the consoles getting more expensive as time goes on.

The media could not be loaded. I want to make it clear, this is a cheap case. You know it's cheap and that's why you're buying it (it's also really the only option too). Now, the case makes your 3DS look good! I got a clear case to show off the misty pink metallic color of my console. I like how thick and smoother the console feels, but that may cause others to not like it. Only thing to note with the case is it makes it a little more difficult to take your pen out.For those anxious for installation and taking off. It's easy to install. You have to start by sliding the the bottom of your 3ds bumper buttons first, push down, then start with your top screen. Once on, you simply click your top screen on.To prevent micro scratches with dust and debris getting under the case (inevitable), I have to be able to take this off.So as soon as I put the case on, I took it off. It's trickier to take off than put on. Again start bottom up, push the bottom out via SD slot. Once out, hold your 3ds upside down, serial number facing you and press your top screen out from the back side of it.Hope that helps! I made a lengthy review because all the negative ones made me worried but I think you just need to carefully install.

I'm sick to my stomach over this. Bought two cases to protect my (1) flawless brand new CIB 3DS and (2) childhood 3DS. The case itself is sharp and ill fitting, the cut outs do not line up with the buttons or mic, and the crappy hinge of the case scratched both system the same way, taking an awful identical gouge out of both corners. Ruined both systems.
