Good Bike & Good Value!
he Roadmaster Granite Peak Mountain Peak Mountain Bike is an excellent value. Keep in mind this is a relatively inexpensive bike, so don't expect an ultra-light weight bicycle. Still it is not what I would consider a heavy bike either, in fact it is a well-made bike with 18 speeds and thoughtful touches such as a quick adjustable seat. It has excellent tires to ride on rough dirt trails or commute on a city street. The handlebars have a slight upward bend and are positioned very comfortably. We purchased ours (for my wife) at a local big box store and then took it to our local bike shop to have it adjusted properly. Once adjusted we were pleasantly surprised at how well everything works.The brakes work great & the shifters work easily & are precise. The only thing I would change on the bike would be to replace the very hard seat with a more comfortable memory foam seat. (My personal preference is memory foam as opposed to gel seats, because gel seat have a tendency to leak as they get older). Also my wife added a water bottle holder & water bottle - (The mounting screw are already on the frame).Speaking of the frame, it is painted a very attractive shade of teal with purple accents, and it is a very good looking and functional bike. This 24" bike is perfect for the shorter rider. If you are 5'5" or shorter, this will most likely be a much more comfortable bike for you than a 26" bike. When it comes to a value this one would be hard to beat.

Bike was perfect color and the Bike fit my 8 yr old. After the reviews I was a bitt worried about height but it worked great. It arrived before it was dated which was great because it was a Christmas present.
