Unger Pro 965500C Swivel Stainless Steel Window Squeegee Ergonomic Overmold Grip Connect and Clean Locking System 18 in.

I was intrigued by the opportunity to first squeegee horizontally and then vertically in order to fully clean the window.Unfortunately this squeegee when I first used it left a streak and the rubber strip wouldn't seal along its full length against the window. Looking closely at the rubber strip I noticed that it sticks out further from the steel support in the center than at the edges and this is probably why it is streaking. I then tried my existing squeegee(an Ettore Squeegee of similar size) on the remainder of the window that hadn't been squeegeed and it was able to remove all the water. On the next window I again tried the Unger squeegee sold by Life and Home on the left side of the window and my existing squeegee on the right side and observed the same result, namely streaking with the Life and Home Unger and no streaking with my existing squeegee.I then wanted to return the item after only trying it once on two windows. The Amazon website did not complete a standard return but rather instructed me to contact the seller directly by phone which I did. The representative for Life and Home said they would not take a return if it had been used. I replied there was no way of determining whether it was defective unless I tried the item. They told me to send it back to them and they would test the item and if it worked in their opinion, they would not refund anything thus leaving me out the item price, the original shipping cost, the return cost and without the item.I asked to speak with a supervisor and he reiterated the same points. When I asked him to repeat the problem I was experiencing he was unable to do so. He then listened more attentively and said if I wanted a refund he would send me an email within the next ten minutes with a RMA number. When they received the item in their warehouse they would issue a refund to me for the item price.If I do receive a refund I will update this review.Update: after much effort I did receive a refund, but still was out for shipping for a defective product

This squeegee is simply manufactured badly. Stupid design. The teeth that hold the rubber blade also distort the blade edge so that the squeegee blade cannot lay flat on the glass and always streaks badly. I returned it and would not by another Unger product. Too bad though because I really need a swiveling squeegee to clean some oddly shaped windows about 12 feet off the ground.
