My truck is just over 5 years old, recently the low tire light came on and stayed on, the tire pressure is fine, so I know the sensors inside the tires have died. Getting them replaced, purchasing at around $30 each, having them installed at around $20 per tire, then programming, I have no idea of that cost... You get the idea, it’s EXPENSIVE! I found this external unit and quickly ordered it. Installation was simple, just removed my valve caps and replaced with the sensors. The inside unit recognized they were installed. I have 2 different tire types on my front and rear with very different air pressures, I had to set the unit at the highest and the lowest pressure collectively, I couldn’t set them individually, not a problem though, I watch the air pressure. The part that goes on the tire, well quite frankly they are ugly, they are big and noticeable, I recommend using the antitheft nut, even though no one else would get any use out of them, I think they would be a tempting target. I can deal with the ugly, the functionality far outweighs the appearance. The built in sensor on my truck only told me if I had a low tire but not which one, I greatly appreciate being able to individually monitor each tire.

I am pretty impressed with this thing. I honestly didn’t expect it to work so well. Programming the low and high pressure warnings following directions worked well.The solar panel charges it well. After initial charging with the usb cable it has maintained its own charge for a month now.

Very simple to apply sensors and the read-out is easy to read and understand. These sensors are easy to change out an add to my newest test vehicle. It’s also always charged thanks to the solar panel. It’s worth a look.

So far, so good. I’ve traveled 3500 miles with these on toyhauler and all is good. Really like seeing both temp and pressure.
