Caribee It Product College 40 Backpack

This is a spectacular bag for the price; it would easily be worth double what I paid for it. It is very roomy, and could hold my 17.3" laptop, two huge textbooks, a large power brick, a laptop stand, several large cables, two 1.5" 3-ring binders, several spiral notebooks, a computer mouse, a set of headphones, an e-reader and the usual pens/pencils/calculator/etc. that a college student needs. My only complaint is a lack of pockets for organizing my items.If the bag had a side pocket, replaced the current zippered front compartment with several large pockets for items like a computer mouse and an e-reader and added a smaller zippered compartment on the front for pens & pencils, this bag would have been virtually perfect for me.

As I said overall the backpack is pretty nice; however, the shoulder strap 'system' it has is quite over complicated and unnecessary. The straps themselves are shorter than I would have liked and take getting used to. The compartments are quite nice and leave plenty of room for laptops, textbooks, binders, etc. The laptop compartment is not padded and has a strange, thin metal strip going down the whole middle of the pack. There is a compartment for up to 3 pens/pencils and a place for a card signifying ownership. If you're shopping for a school backpack this one is not a bad option.

The product is different to the photo shown on the Amazon website. The inner lining for the photo (as listed) is a black material whereas in person it is grey.Caribee products have always been reliable so happy with the purchase despite the advertising being different than what was received.

Ive been using the 40l Caribee College for decades, (scince high school). Plenty of storage space, without it looking like a huge backpack (unless really full).Some of the pictures of the rear of the backpack are of a slightly different than the current one. Not worse, just different. The front is the same.The design has changed overtime, but they keep getting small improvements.
