This electric kettle gets your water real hot, real fast. It boils water much faster than my stove at home.There is a button on the top to open the lid. It has markings on the glass so you usually won't need a measuring cup. It's cool how it automatically turns off after your water is boiling. I don't recommend filling it up to the top as you may get some boiling water splatter out of the spout.I really like the modern design. It has a blue light that goes around the circumference of the kettle, just like you see in the product photo. The light turns off when the heating element turns off to let you know it's done boiling.It also comes with an instruction manual and some information about descaling if you get mineral build-up. I haven't really had a problem with this but I've heard you may have more minerals in your water depending on where your water comes from.

I got this to use at work and it is a great kettle. It's small and high quality and it makes hot water fast. Couldn't ask for more.

This is a nice kettle, aesthetically pleasing too. Two minor issues, auto shutoff doesn't work very well if it's too full or too empty.. gotta be in the middle. The manual also tells you to boil loose leaf tea in it when you first get it, to make it smell better. Do not do this, use a teabag. I still have bits of green tea randomly showing up in the water somehow.

This water boiler is EXCELLENT. What we most appreciate is that it heats the water quickly, but also that it is made of glass (no chemical "leaching" from plastic or even aluminum components) and where there is not glass, the water only comes into contact with non-leaching stainless steel. Easy to empty/clean (just pop open cover and invert - no real cleaning necessary as it only contains water). Auto shutoff with light indicating on/off status. To turn on, just depress a lever at base of boiler. It will click to indicate on status. So far so good. Will see how it delivers long term, but for now, nothing but praise for this kitchen product.

I purchased this after experiencing a serious steam burn to 3 of my fingers. I was using the old fashion kettle and while pouring the lid popped open worse pain ever. Took 3 weeks to heal. I immediately got rid of it and went on a search for a new safer kettle. Found this and use it several times a day. water boils in under 3 min, turns off automatically and it safely delivers my pipping hot water. I don't have to worry about the lid coming off because you have to press a release button for the lid to open. I, one happy customer!

I pre-heat water for any food item that requires boiling (IE Rice - Noodles - etc) for faster cooking than starting the boiling process on the stove. I do not need to make a full pot of water for many of projects - a half pot is ready very quickly.If the water boils before i am ready, I simply restart the process with the hot water already in the pot for a faster full boil of my water.The large opening at the top enable cleaning better than working with a small fill as on conventional kettles.

I really like the looks and size of this kettle. It's smaller than my previous one and takes up less counter space. It heats quickly and is easy to clean. However, it does not turn off automatically. Not a huge problem for me as I don't leave it unattended but it would be nice if it had auto-shutoff.
