10 Yards Velvet Ribbon Spool (Purple, 5/8")

I never in a million years thought I’d regret not looking at reviews when purchasing something so simple, like ribbon. Not only is the color nothing like what is represented in the product photos, it doesn’t come on a spool! As soon as you take the ribbon out of the package its just an unraveled mess. Nothing is more upsetting to me than ordering one thing and it showing up as another. Not impressed.

Was surprised to open this because there’s no spool. Instead it was all wadded up in a cheap plastic bag (see photo). I thought, “Did I really order this?” When I went back to check, sure enough, the description said, “10 Yards Velvet Ribbon Spool...”It’s pretty, and is the color I wanted, a light turquoise. The quality seems just OK, nothing special. I got it for use on hand-sewed upcycled clothing projects, so time will tell, as will the number of washings. Maybe if the presentation was a little closer to the description, meaning, had it actually arrived on a spool, the initial perceived quality might be a tad higher.The lack of spool was so annoying that I was almost ready to return it. Then I discovered that the piece was actually 10 yards and 18 inches. So maybe they were aware of the spool thing and duked me some extra, which I appreciate. And the price was certainly in the right ballpark, so I’m keeping it.

The color in the photo was pretty true to life, which I was concerned about because I was looking for ivory/cream colored ribbon and the color's name is "beige". I trusted the picture and it turned out well. One thing to note is the ribbon comes rolled up on a flat spiral, not on a spool like in the picture, which is fine, but as I am only using a small amount for my current project means I need to find a way to store it. Also worth noting is that they measured generously and upon double checking the amount, there was 11 yards in total.

This blush pink velvet ribbon is beautiful. It is perfect for weddings and holidays and would be pretty if included in a bow for a wreath. It’s very thick and rich looking

I do not know who labels these for color but they need to look at a color wheel and get it right!! I am keeping this velvet ribbon because it is beautiful but it is indeed NOT mauve - it is FUSHIA. A very bright & lovely FUSHIA. The colors are very hit or miss - so be prepared to just keep the item and have it be the wrong color or return it. Otherwise the velvet ribbon is lovely, not crushed, not cut up all over the place and they provide you with a true 10 yards. Good luck!!
